The Consulate of the Dominican Republic offers all Dominican citizens in Qatar territory and from other nations, PUBLIC NOTARY services so that they can carry out any activity or function for which said documents or services are essential.

IMPORTANT: ALL NOTARIAL ACTS, SIGNATURE CERTIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZATIONS AND SWORN DECLARATIONS MUST BE APOSTILLED ONLINE IN THE SERVICES PORTAL OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS  https://servicios.mirex.gob.do  SO THAT THEY HAVE THE CORRESPONDING VALIDITY.

The Dominican Republic, through its delegations abroad, offers all Dominican citizens and citizens from other nations PUBLIC NOTARY services so that they can carry out any activity or function for which said documents or services are essential.

To facilitate the management of passports, birth certificates and visas in Dominican territory, Dominican consular offices abroad facilitate this process for parents and legal guardians.

All citizens have the right to request authorizations to manage passports, visas and birth certificates in the Dominican Republic at the consular offices of the Dominican Republic

Through our email  consularqatar@mirex.gob.do  you should send the following:

  1. Copy of the Minors’ Birth Certificate.
  2. Copy of the Dominican Identity and Electoral Card of the AUTHORIZER (if any) or of the Passport or other identity document.
  3. Copy of the document from the foreign country (Passport, Residence Card or National Identity Document) if it is an authorization to manage visas. In original and two copies.
  4. Copy of the Identity Document as well as the address of the person who will receive the Authorization.
  5. Copy of the identification of the minor who will be authorized to manage documents.
  6. Copy of the payment slip.
  7. Once you attach the above, you must REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT through said email.

This process is done by appointment. Once the appointment is confirmed, the document is delivered between 1-2 days, depending on the urgency, the number of previous requests and the availability of personnel.

  1. In the case of an authorization to withdraw the passports of minors, it is sufficient for one of the parents to sign.
  2. When it comes to applying for a visa, it is mandatory that both parents sign the authorization. If the parents are in different countries, each one must make an authorization separately.
  3. For any service, the consular offices are authorized to include additional requirements to those indicated in this document.
  4. The consular offices have the right to refuse to manage a service, if the consular staff doubts its usefulness for the citizen, if they think that said service may harm the future interests of the Applicant; or if you question the public faith of the Consular Office.
